Our Story

Steps for Austin began with one mother and one mission: to find a better way forward for her son. Austin is a bright, loving child on the autism spectrum who inspires every part of this foundation. When Donyel couldn’t find the sensory-friendly spaces and community that Austin deserved, she started building them herself. One step at a time.

A private, sensory-friendly screening of Toy Story for children on the autism spectrum and their families. Expect softer sound, gentler lighting, and the freedom to move, stim, sing, and enjoy the movie your way. No shushing, no judgment. Every child belongs.

The room is not full. Walk-up tickets are $8.99 at the AMC box office. No registration needed, just come. Doors at 5:40 PM, cash or card. Siblings, grandparents, and caregivers are $8.99 each.
